A visit to Kongdori and Afarwatt peak is not only for amusing for skiing lovers but also for the ones who want to witness the splendid natural landscape of Gulmarg. Day treks can be made to Alpather Lake and Ferozpur Nalla. Other places to see the blessing of God on this beautiful meadow include, Butapathri, Frozen Lake, Baba Reshi and of course Gulmarg Gondola, making this place a must visit for nature lovers.

How to reach Gulmarg?

If you are low in budget or you are travelling solo you can take a shared cab from Batamaloo area in Srinagar to Tangmarg, and from Tangmarg to Gulmarg another shared cab and vice versa.

If you are travelling with friends or family you can book a taxi direct from the airport or from where ever you are staying in Srinagar.

There aren’t many good places to eat while on the way to Gulmarg. So keep your basket full. The journey to Gulmarg can be exhilarating especially from Tangmarg. You can stop at a few places to take pictures. The route is pretty tough when you are within 4 km from Gulmarg but the fragrance of pine trees more than compensates for that.

How much time should you spend in Gulmarg?

In winter you can spend a night at Gulmarg to experience snow. In summer time a day visit to Gulmarg is enough.

Phase 2: Kungdoor to Aparwath – Kungdoor – Price Rs 950/ticket
